Country Manager Netherlands

YOU WORK FOR WE®

As Country Manager Netherlands, you are ultimately responsible for the commercial and operational performance of our 89 WE® stores in the Netherlands. You lead 5 District Managers and translate our European retail strategy into a clear direction and concrete priorities for the Dutch market.

You hold P&L responsibility and steer on revenue, costs, profitability, budgets, forecasts and operational KPIs. You identify where opportunities lie, where performance is falling behind and what is needed to structurally improve results.

But strong retail is about more than numbers. You are regularly present in our stores, understand our customer and have a strong feel for product. You see how teams, visual merchandising, staffing, service and customer experience come together to make a difference. You combine what you see and hear on the shop floor with data to make the right commercial decisions.

An important part of your role is to further professionalise our Dutch retail organisation. You bring structure and a clear rhythm to the way we lead the business, improve processes and create clarity around responsibilities. You make sure agreements are not only made, but also implemented and embedded.

Strong performance starts with strong leadership. Together with your District Managers, you build a strong management team. You coach and develop them, give trust and autonomy, while also setting clear expectations and holding people accountable for responsibilities and results. You bring focus and clarity, challenge existing ways of working and turn improvements into concrete action. Together with your team, you build a professional, commercial and results-driven retail organisation.

In this role, you report to the European Sales Director and work closely with colleagues across our European retail organisation.

You are an experienced retail leader who knows how to combine commercial results with strong people management. You thrive in a dynamic environment and get energy from improving people, processes and performance.

Where you make impact:

  • You have at least 7 years of relevant leadership experience within retail, including several years in a senior commercial leadership role, for example as Country Manager, Head of Retail or Senior District/Regional Manager.
  • You have experience leading and developing managers and know how to create impact across a large multi-store retail organisation through your District Managers.
  • You have held P&L responsibility and confidently steer on revenue, costs, profitability, budgets, forecasts and operational KPIs.
  • You combine strategic and analytical thinking with a strong commercial vision and translate data into clear priorities and actions.
  • You have demonstrated experience in professionalising an organisation by creating structure, improving processes and establishing clear responsibilities.
  • You are a strong and inspiring people leader who provides direction, sets clear expectations and motivates people to achieve results together.
  • You work in a structured and results-driven way and ensure that decisions, agreements and actions are followed through.
  • You are visible in the business, regularly visit our stores and have an eye for the details that make a difference.
  • You have a passion for retail, fashion and product and understand how visual merchandising, service and customer experience contribute to commercial performance.
  • You know how to bring people along through change while creating calm, focus and clarity.
  • You communicate easily with different stakeholders. Speaking Dutch is an advantage, but not a requirement.

We evaluate all applicants based on competencies, experience and equal pay (m/f/x).
