Marketing Manager

As Marketing Manager, you are the connecting force behind our go to market approach. You ensure that brand, content, CRM, social media, loyalty and performance marketing work together seamlessly and contribute to both brand preference and commercial results.

You lead five direct reports within a broader marketing team of seven people. You are present, approachable and actively involved in the team. You help set priorities, support your team's development and provide clear direction. As the right hand of the Brand & Marketing Director, you act as a critical sparring partner who creates alignment, maintains overview and helps drive the business forward.

This role is about more than execution alone. We are looking for someone who can rise above the daily operation, set direction and help the team grow, while also understanding that retail never stands still and priorities can shift quickly.

In this role, you:

  • Define the marketing strategy across all channels, including ATL media (radio, out of home and print), social media, influencer marketing, PR, SEO, SEA, affiliate marketing, display advertising, email marketing, CRM and loyalty.
  • Ensure that brand budgets and performance budgets complement each other and that media planning and media buying are aligned accordingly.
  • Use marketing research as a compass, from brand funnel tracking to customer research, and ensure insights are translated into concrete decisions and campaigns.
  • Inspire and challenge the creative team. You understand what content is needed, for which stage of the customer journey, on which channel and at what moment.
  • Translate data, market developments and customer insights into campaigns that strengthen both brand preference and revenue growth.
  • Coach, develop and support five direct reports while contributing to the growth of the wider marketing team.
  • Work closely with Buying, E-commerce and Retail teams, as well as external partners such as media, creative and research agencies.

You report directly to the Brand & Marketing Director and are an important sparring partner for both internal and external stakeholders.

Where you make impact:

  • You have gained broad marketing experience within retail, e-commerce or another consumer focused environment where brand building and commercial results go hand in hand.
  • You understand how different marketing channels reinforce each other and know how to strike the right balance between brand building and performance marketing.
  • You use customer insights, data and marketing research to shape strategy, campaigns and investments.
  • You know how to inspire creative teams and brief them on content that supports different stages of the customer journey.
  • You have experience leading and developing teams and know how to provide direction, trust and growth opportunities.
  • You are familiar with digital platforms such as Google, Meta, TikTok, CRM systems and email marketing tools.
  • Experience with CRM and loyalty focused marketing is a strong advantage.
  • You combine strategic insight with a hands on mindset and effortlessly connect strategy with execution.
  • You communicate confidently in both Dutch and English and work effectively with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
